Quinta da Extrema

Located in the extreme southeast of the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta da Extrema is part of a vast estate with four adjoining Quintas totaling 476 hectares, belonging to Colinas do Douro Sociedade Agrícola. This property is part of the important Douro Internacional Natural Park, which has enormous hunting wealth and is extremely important for the Region. The four Quintas have their slopes predominantly facing north and are battered by very harsh winters. Respecting and enhancing the extremely rich local biodiversity, they want the wines to express the unique terroir .
