Intimate names, too, and these wines invite us to discover their intimacy, their secrets, the stories they have to tell. How do you describe a vineyard with more than three dozen grape varieties, called Praça, Malvasia Parda, Reconco, Trincadeira Branca, Chancelar, Carrega Branco, Donzelinho tinto, Tinta Bastardinha? This is the Douro of Joana and António. And the siblings feel like two children left in a room full of toys.
