Founded in 2010, Márcio Lopes Winemaker has achieved the feat of, in a short space of time, consolidating a significant number of brands in a competitive and extremely dynamic market. Pequenos Rebentos in Vinhos Verdes, Anel, Permitido e Proibido in Douro. In Ribeira Sacra, it operates a 70-year-old vineyard measuring half a hectare, from which the Telegrafo wine is produced. Led by Márcio Lopes - who is more than a winemaker and producer, he is an experimentalist and wine author - Márcio Lopes Winemaker promotes sustainability, does not use herbicides, uses native grape varieties from each region, seeks out obsolete grape varieties to give them a new lease of life and invests in old vineyards, to ensure the production of distinctive wines with character, which express the land, the people and a unique and singular heritage. Márcio Lopes is a researcher and an experimentalist. He travels through Minho and Douro looking for old vineyards that he can rent and use to create something new. Everything is done in a very careful but minimalist way, where the character of the place is expressed in wines of enormous purity, focused and incisive, austere, but light and fresh.
