Explicit Vinhas Velhas is a bright ruby-colored wine, very complex on the palate - typical of Old Vines - with firm and balanced tannins and discreet wood. On the nose, it has ripe fruit, pomegranates, blackcurrants with a touch of nutmeg. Excellent aging potential.

Technical Sheet
  • Soil: Granitic soils, with little thickness, low fertility index and water deficiencies.
  • Winemaking: Fermentation in small 1000kg vats, foot treading, 7-day post-fermentation maceration.
  • Tasting Notes: Bright ruby color. Very complex on the palate with firm, balanced tannins and discreet wood. On the nose, it has ripe fruit, pomegranates, currants with a touch of nutmeg.
  • Maturation: Aged for 24 months in used French oak barrels.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC
