The Inóspito Vinhas Velhas Roncão is a wine produced from three micro-plots of old vines. Poor soils of schist origin contribute to a unique profile and an expression of a Douro interpreted as it was in the past, fresh, complex and structured, without any tartaric correction.

Technical Sheet
  • Soil: Clay-schist soil.
  • Winemaking: The grapes arrive at the winery in 20 kg boxes and are sent directly to the wine press. Fermentation begins just 3 days after the grapes arrive, during which time much of their essence is extracted.
  • Tasting Notes: Bright red color with a hint of ruby. The aroma is relatively complex, with emphasis on red fruits. In the mouth it is voluminous, with elegant tannins and a lively, very well-integrated acidity. The finish is long and elegant.
  • Maturation: Aged in new and used French oak barrels of 225 and 500 liters for 18 months.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC
