Monte da Bica As Netas Chegaram Primeiro Unoaked is a wine with marked acidity and tannins. They are the result of fermentation of young grapes with their stems. In a very Burgundian approach, the elegance of a Pinot that is not, reinterpreted through the granddaughters of Castelão and Syrah. This whole concept wrapped in a subtle used barrel completes the Madeiran granddaughter project.

Technical Sheet
  • Soil: Located in Lavre and 12 years old. The Mediterranean climate provides a wide range of temperatures and the poor soils of the transition from clay to sand in this part of the Alentejo region allow, despite the very low productivity, conditions to be created for a maturation of great aromatic expression and retention of freshness. First harvest by hand, transported in small 12 kg boxes to the winery.
  • Winemaking: The bunches selected from the vineyard are transported by gravity to a small cement press where they are crushed with the stalks and fermented at a controlled temperature for 7 days. After alcoholic fermentation, all the wine is sent to stainless steel where malolactic fermentation takes place.
  • Tasting Notes: Acidity and tannin are achieved through fermentation of young grapes with their stems. In a very Burgundian approach, the elegance of a Pinot that is not, reinterpreted through the granddaughters of Castelão and Syrah.
  • Maturation: Aged for 1 year in stainless steel plus 1 year in bottle
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC
