Tinta Roriz, from Quinta de Lemos, is a wine with very ripe grapes present in its aroma, with hints of quality jams, balanced with very well-cut barrel notes. Voluminous in the mouth, with a satin texture where the fruit is present and the tannins reveal themselves with nobility and density.

Technical Sheet
  • Soil: The vineyards are located in the Silgueiros sub-region, between 350 and 400 metres above sea level. The variety is recognised by its glabrous (hairless) appearance, short knots and bright light green colour. The vineyard is managed under an integrated protection programme, and the use of herbicides is prohibited. The grapes are harvested manually when they reach optimum ripeness, which takes place between the second half of September and the first half of October. The grapes are harvested in small 10 kg boxes.
  • Winemaking: Fermentation at a controlled temperature to preserve all the aromatic elegance, in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks for 7 to 10 days. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and is subsequently aged for 15 months to enhance its structure and complexity.
  • Tasting Notes: Very ripe grapes present in the aroma, with hints of quality jams, balanced with very well-rounded barrel notes. Voluminous in the mouth, satin texture where the fruit is present and the tannins reveal themselves with nobility and density.
  • Maturation: Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
