A Ribatejo native who became known for her work in the Douro, a young winemaker who was already a producer (Somnium) but in partnership, has a solo project here, in her homeland - literally, as these are family vineyards. The vineyards are new, the project is very small, and that's how Joana Pinhão wants it to be. Focusing on quality rather than quantity, and not being afraid to invest in a region that insists (with a few honourable exceptions) on volume.
