The ITER 10 Years Celebration DOC Douro Red is a wine with an intense purple-violet color. Aromas of ripe red fruit combined with balsamic and spicy toast nuances.   • Soil: Single vineyard approximately 40 years old.
  • Winemaking: The harvest took place under ideal atmospheric conditions in the first week of September. The grapes were duly selected, destemmed and partially crushed, and were trodden in a wine press for the first 48 hours. The fermentation process then took place over 15 days in a controlled environment in stainless steel vats, ending with 8 days of post-fermentation maceration. Malolactic fermentation followed.
  • Tasting Notes: Intense purple-violet color. Aromas of ripe red fruit combined with balsamic and spicy toast nuances. Harmonious and seductive, it is lively with ripe tannins present, but well polished and velvety. With an excellent balance between freshness and complexity, it indicates good aging capacity.
  • Maturation: Aged in new French oak barrels for 24 months and aged in bottles for 24 months.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC with prior decantation.
