  • Soil: Located in Lavre and 13 years old. The Mediterranean climate provides a wide range of temperatures and the poor soils of the transition from clay to sand in this part of the Alentejo region allow, despite the very low productivity, conditions to be created for ripening with great aromatic expression and retention of freshness. These plots are hand-harvested and transported in small 12 kg boxes to the winery.
  • Winemaking: The bunches selected from the vineyard are destemmed and transported by gravity, separated by variety, to a small cement press where, with 20% bled, they ferment at a controlled temperature for 7 days. After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation follows during a sévasion of approximately 15 days. After pressing, all the wine is transferred to French and American oak barrels.
  • Tasting Notes: Elegant maturation without excessive extraction, always with a balsamic base that elevates this medium-bodied blend to a very elegant and unusual level in the region. The candied black fruit is present throughout the tasting, which extends into notes of good barrel aging that comfort all the freshness.
  • Maturation: 18 months in French and American oak barrels and 12 months in bottle.
