LUMIA originates from the Latin word 'ILLUMINATED'. It means having intense brightness and living closer to the sun. A perfect definition for this new journey of ours. This blend of Arinto with a touch of Guarda-Roupa, indigenous yeasts, and no temperature control, is the result of a search for the pure expression of Alentejo in a white wine with a lot of personality and its own light.

  • Soil: Made from grapes harvested in small selected plots with residual granite soils of the tonalite type and plenty of water. Low production quantities but with high quality fruit. Our grapes are also grown under a certified integrated production system.
  • Winemaking: Manual night harvest, sorting table, direct pressing without crushing and without sulphites until the end of fermentation. Cold decantation for approximately 12 hours, without additives. Fermentation carried out in barrels without any temperature control using indigenous yeasts.
  • Tasting Notes: Straw yellow color, intense nose, notes of lime blossom and light peach, iodine in the mouth, textured and crunchy. Excellent acidity. A white with a lot of character.
  • Maturation: Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
  • Serve: Serve at 10ºC and drink at 12ºC
  • Winemaker: Antonio Maçanita
  • Conservation: Store at 6ºC
  • Food Pairing: It goes well with more elaborate oven-baked fish, stews, or simpler white meats.
