Herdade do Perú Private Collection Red is a wine with an open red colour. On the nose, red fruit emerges with notes of cocoa, plum, chocolate and pepper jam, balanced by notes of vanilla, toffee and spices. On the palate, the wine is very intense with velvety tannins, but very present and continuing the tasting. It finishes long and deep with a refreshing acidity that will ensure time in the bottle.

  • Soil:
  • Winemaking: Grapes harvested by hand from plots previously selected for this wine during the month of October. Grapes are selected in the field and in the winery, completely destemmed and gently crushed. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 4 days in 800kg vats, fermentation at controlled temperature for 2 weeks and post-fermentation maceration in "Cuvaison" for 2 weeks. Light pressing of the grapes followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats.
  • Tasting Notes: Wine with an open red colour. On the nose, red fruit emerges with notes of cocoa, plum, chocolate and pepper jam, balanced by notes of vanilla, toffee and spices. On the palate, the wine is very intense, with velvety tannins that are very present and continue the tasting. It finishes long and deep with a refreshing acidity.
  • Maturation: Aged in used and new French oak barrels for 24 months with bâttonage.
  • Serve: Between 14ºC and 16ºC
