Legado is a wine with an intense ruby ​​colour. It has an intense and complex aroma, with bright red fruits, balsamic notes of resin and slightly minty notes, and the presence of spices such as liquorice, pepper and ginger. It is stony, with a discreet and very well-integrated wood. In the mouth, it has excellent volume, firm tannins, lively acidity, and notes of red fruits and spices such as pepper stand out, with a finish of great elegance and harmony.

  • Soil: The grapes come from a centuries-old vineyard, Quinta do Caêdo.
  • Winemaking: The grapes are harvested manually, and selected in the vineyard and on the sorting mat at the winery entrance. After destemming and gentle crushing, the grapes are transferred to stainless steel vats, where alcoholic fermentation takes place. A long and gentle maceration is carried out at a controlled temperature, with the aim of extracting the compounds that express the terroir of that vineyard.
  • Tasting Notes: Intense ruby colour. Aroma of great intensity and complexity, with bright red fruits, balsamic notes of resin and slightly minty, presence of spices such as liquorice, pepper and ginger, stony, with discreet and very well integrated wood. In the mouth it has excellent volume, firm tannins, lively acidity, notes of red fruits and spices such as pepper stand out, with a finish of great elegance and harmony.
  • Maturation: Aged for 30 months in 225-litre French oak barrels. During this period, it is subjected to numerous tests and analyses in order to monitor its evolution. In order to preserve the highest quality, it is only subjected to light filtration before bottling.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC
  • Winemaker: Luis Sottomayor
  • Conservation: It is estimated that it will maintain its best quality for around 20 to 25 years.
