Maçanita Touriga Nacional Letra A 2019 is a wine with a concentrated dark violet color and a concentrated aroma of red fruits, subtle notes of menthol with ripe fruit and round tannins. The finish is intense and persistent. Maçanita Vinhos is a project by two brothers and two winemakers who seek to explore the Douro terroir. In 1756, the DOURO became the first demarcated and regulated region in the world. However, there are so many and so different terroirs and exposures in the Douro that it could be called Douros. That is why, between 1935 - 1947, a terroir class system was created in the Douro that ranges from Letter A to Letter F with the right to benefit. The Letter A plots are the best plots for the benefited wine, closest to the river, which produces grapes with more ripeness, concentration and accentuated power, which brought so much fame to the Douro. This is our Douro Letter A.
