Piano White is a white wine from the Douro region, with a contemporary, intense and elegant profile, which reflects the versatility and exciting current nature of the wines from this region. It has a citrus yellow colour with greenish hues. A very elegant fruity aroma, well combined with mineral notes and vegetal nuances that provide great freshness. On the palate, it has a lively acidity and great harmony between all the aromas, in a medium-bodied, very elegant wine with a long finish.

  • Soil: Located in the heart of Cima-Corgo, in the parish of Alijó, on the right bank of the Douro, with an average altitude of 550 to 600 m, on schist-granite transition soils, the vineyards were planted in single-variety plots between 1991 and 1992.
  • Winemaking: The Piano Branco grapes were harvested between the 1st and 2nd week of September. The grapes are protected from oxidation upon arrival and, after being destemmed, are sent to the pneumatic press, where they are gently pressed. The must is left to settle for 24 hours and, when it reaches the desired turbidity, the wine is separated from the lees that have formed in the meantime. This clean must is fermented with the inoculation of selected yeasts. Fermentation takes place for approximately 15 days, always at a controlled temperature to ensure that it does not exceed 14ºC.
  • Tasting Notes: Citrine yellow color, with greenish hues. Very elegant fruity aroma, well combined with mineral notes and vegetal nuances that give great freshness. In the mouth it has a lively acidity and great harmony between all the aromas, in a medium-bodied wine, very elegant and with a long finish.
  • Maturation: After alcoholic fermentation, the batches are aged in stainless steel vats to better preserve their freshness and fruit, and a small portion in French oak barrels to increase complexity. After this time, the wine is stabilized and filtered, followed by bottling and aging for 3 months in the bottle.
  • Serve: Between 8ºC and 10ºC
  • Winemaker: Jorge Alves, Valter Silva and Fábio Pereira
  • Conservation: Designed to be consumed over the next two years, while it reveals a remarkable freshness. After this period, it shows a positive evolution, gaining complexity in comparison to what it lost in freshness. The bottle should be kept lying down, in a dry and cool place, away from light.
  • Food Pairing: Fish, seafood, salads, pasta and all types of poultry. It is a great wine to serve as an aperitif.
  • Bottle Size: 75cl
  • Allergens: Contains sulfites
