  • Soil: It comes from old vines between 40 and 80 years old, from Vila Nova de Foz Côa. Small plots facing north or east between 250m and 500m above sea level. Almost all the work is done by hand, without the use of herbicides or pesticides. When necessary, they plough the land with the help of a work horse. In this way, they respect what the vineyard gives them, and try to transform the grapes into wine as naturally as possible.
  • Winemaking: After manual harvesting and transport to the winery in small boxes (18kg-20kg), the bunches were destemmed and the grapes underwent gentle maceration and fermentation at a low temperature.
  • Tasting Notes: Black fruit well marked on the nose with great intensity, toasted notes and spices. Very balanced on the palate with a very long, persistent body and well-polished tannins.
  • Maturation: Aged for 15 months in used barrels.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC
  • Winemaker: Márcio Lívio Duarte Lopes
  • Conservation: It can be consumed immediately or within the next 15 years, as long as it is stored lying down in a cool, dry place, away from light and without temperature fluctuations.
  • Food Pairing: It goes well with strong meats and cheeses, game and oven-roasted dishes.
  • Bottle Size: 75cl
  • Allergens: Contains sulfites
