Xaino Grande Reserva Red is a wine produced from Touriga Nacional and Sousão grape varieties, from plots located in the Meda region of the Douro Superior, at an altitude of over 550m. With a deep violet colour, it is very concentrated on the nose with aromas of red fruit, spices and notes of wood. The palate is elegant with good acidity and creamy tannins with a long finish.

  • Soil: The grapes come from different plots of vineyards at Quinta Vale d'Aldeia, located in the Meda region, at an altitude of around 550m.
  • Winemaking: The grapes for Xaino Grande Reserva Tinto are hand-harvested into 20 kg boxes at their ideal ripeness, with the aim of ensuring a strong ripeness that leads to greater aromatic and polyphenolic concentrations. After gentle crushing and complete destemming, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel vats equipped with a temperature control system.
  • Tasting Notes: With a deep purple-red color, it is very concentrated on the nose with aromas of black fruit, spices and notes of wood. The mouth is elegant with good acidity and creamy tannins with a long finish.
  • Maturation: Aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels and 6 months in bottle.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC
