Quinta da Rede Sousão is a wine with an intense red colour, very characteristic of the grape variety. It has a deep and rich aroma, with hints of wild berries, forest, field herbs, various spices, and a light smoky barrel aroma. Full of juicy fruit, with a full body involving solid tannins and excellent acidity, providing plenty of freshness and persistence.

  • Soil: Vineyard planted on the slopes of Serra do Marão, 400 meters above sea level.
  • Winemaking: Complete destemming and prolonged but gentle skin maceration. Fermented in a mechanical press at 26ºC for 10 days.
  • Tasting Notes: Intense red colour, very characteristic of the variety. Deep and rich aroma, with hints of wild berries, forest, field herbs, various spices, light barrel smoke. Full of juicy fruit, with a full body surrounding solid tannins and excellent acidity, providing plenty of freshness and persistence.
  • Maturation: Aged for 16 months in new 500-liter French oak barrels.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 17ºC
  • Winemaker: Paulo Nunes
  • Conservation: With all the balance to be enjoyed young, it will evolve very well in the bottle for at least 10 years.
  • Food Pairing: Pairs well with regional cuisine, with ideal acidity to handle fatty or well-seasoned meats, such as pork or goat.
