Cão que Ladra Red is a ruby-colored wine with a bright red hue. Its aroma is marked by wild berries and a light, shrubby note. In the background, fully integrated, is the character imparted by aging in used barrels. The elegant tannins and firm acidity make this Douro red elegant and classic. It finishes very balanced and gastronomic.

  • Soil: Plot of Mourisco located in the Douro Superior, planted about 40 years ago, in schist soil at an altitude of 550 meters.
  • Winemaking: Harvested on September 1st, transported in 20 kg boxes. Alcoholic fermentation in a temperature-controlled wine press, with 50% whole bunch.
  • Tasting Notes: Ruby-colored wine with a vibrant red hue. Aromas are marked by forest fruits and a light shrubby note. In the background, fully integrated, we see the character imparted by aging in used barrels. Elegant tannins and firm acidity define this classic Douro wine.
  • Maturation: Aged for 10 months in used French oak barrels.
  • Serve: Between 14ºC and 16ºC
  • Winemaker: Antonio Braga
  • Conservation: If stored in the best conditions, it evolves positively in the bottle for at least 10 years.
  • Food Pairing: Pairs well with grilled meats, red meats, steaks or lamb and is excellent with cheeses, even the strongest ones.
