A 100% Moreto, one of the few wines made entirely from this variety in Portugal. A disconcerting wine that demonstrates the role of this variety in the ancient Alentejo grape variety. Fresh and powerful. Intense ruby ​​color, medium concentration, almost ripe black fruit, with hints of forest, full attack, concentrated with good freshness and persistent structure in the finish.

  • Soil: The grapes come from a vineyard planted in 1970, at an altitude of 256 to 267 metres, on non-humic granite-litholic soils of granite origin. These are poorly developed, well-formed soils, sandy in texture, without aggregates, and slightly acidic. Located at the southern foot of the Serra d'Ossa, this place is special, you can feel it! Two streams bring rainwater from the mountains, keeping the soil cool in the torrid Alentejo heat, never lowering the water table below 5 metres.
  • Winemaking: The grapes, grown on granite soils and under a certified integrated production system, are selected on a sorting table, 30% whole bunches and 70% destemmed, falling by gravity into the vat. Spontaneous fermentation and 40-day maceration on the skins, followed by 18 months of aging in old barrels.
  • Tasting Notes: Intense ruby color, medium concentration, almost ripe black fruit, with notes of forest, full attack, concentrated with good freshness and persistent structure at the end of the tasting.
  • Maturation: Aged for 18 months in old barrels.
  • Serve: Between 17ºC and 18ºC
