  • Soil: The grapes come from a vineyard planted in 1970, at an altitude of 256 to 267 meters, on non-humic granite-litholic soils of granite origin. These are poorly evolved, formed soils, sandy in texture, without aggregates, slightly acidic.
  • Winemaking: The grapes, grown on granite soils and under a certified integrated protection regime, are selected on a sorting table, 30% whole bunches and 70% destemmed, fall by gravity into the tank. Spontaneous fermentation and maceration for 40 days on skins, followed by aging for 12 months in stainless steel tanks.
  • Tasting Notes: Very open ruby colour, intense fresh nose, notes of bitter red fruit, pomegranate and graphite notes. Very fine, elegant, tense attack, lots of depth and tension. A red that shows that Alentejo can be something else.
