  • Soil: The Alfrocheiro appeared in the Dão region after the flowering, and its origin is unknown. The vines grow on slopes situated between 350 and 400 metres above sea level. The vineyard is managed within an integrated protection programme, and the application of herbicides is prohibited. The harvest is manual, when the grapes reach the optimum point of ripeness, which is between the second half of September and the first half of October. The harvest is carried out in small 10 kg boxes.
  • Winemaking: Fermentation at a controlled temperature to preserve all the aromatic elegance, in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks for 7 to 10 days. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and is subsequently aged for 18 months to enhance its structure and complexity.
  • Tasting Notes: Ruby red color, fruity aroma and delicate flavor, where the soft, full and delicate tannins are in good balance with the acidity.
  • Maturation: Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC
