Casal Sta. Maria Sauvignon Blanc is a brightly colored wine with greenish hues.   • Soil: Grapes from our original vineyards, planted in 2006 by Mr. Barão Bodo von Bruemmer, located in Casal Sta. Maria, next to Praia da Adraga and in Galamares, all with very different characteristics.
  • Winemaking: The hand-harvested grapes are carefully selected in the winery on a sorting mat. After light crushing and 3 hours of skin maceration, the grapes are pressed. Static decantation follows for 48 hours, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
  • Tasting Notes: Bright in color with greenish hues. A wine with a varietal aromatic matrix, with notes of asparagus, white pepper, and a light earthiness, but accompanied by iodine and mineral nuances typical of our terroir. The light barrel aging and bâtonnage add volume and breadth, elevating the wine to a gastronomic level.
  • Maturation: Two months of bâtonnage. After this period, the wine remains on fine lees. During fermentation, 15% of the blend is transferred to French oak barrels.
  • Serve: Between 8ºC and 10ºC
  • Winemaker: Jorge Rosa Santos and Antonio Figueiredo
  • Conservation: It has the potential to age in the bottle until 2029.
  • Food Pairing: From seafood and salads to fresh cheeses, feta or brie, and vegetarian dishes.
