The Inóspito Vinhas Velhas Xisto comes from a vineyard planted in 1915 located next to the Tua River where it enters the Douro demarcated region. The soil is of schist origin, has a northeast exposure and an altitude of 300 meters, located on the right bank of the river in the village of Sobreira. The vineyard comprises more than 35 grape varieties, among which the various types of Malvasia stand out. Fermentation is spontaneous using indigenous yeasts in new and used French oak barrels (Bertrange forest). The aim is to create a wine that highlights its texture, aromatic character and freshness. A pure wine, without artifice.
