  • Soil: Located in the heart of Cima-Corgo, in the parish of Alijó, on the right bank of the Douro, with west-facing sun exposure, on granite-schist transition soils at an average altitude of 600 m, the vineyards were planted in single-variety plots between 1991 and 1992.
  • Winemaking: The Piano Reserva Branco grapes were harvested between the 1st and 2nd week of September. The grapes were destemmed and sent directly to the press, where they were gently pressed. The resulting must was statically decanted by cold fermentation. The alcoholic fermentation began in stainless steel tanks and ended in new 500 L French oak barrels.
  • Tasting Notes: A wine with a complex aroma, where notes of white fruits combine with the tropical notes of very ripe fruit, all well combined with the notes of the barrel. In the mouth, it is intense, with plenty of fruit and the toasted wood giving it the complexity that makes the combination so interesting. It finishes long and elegant.
  • Maturation: After the alcoholic fermentation is complete, it is aged in barrels with bâtonnage for 9 months. After this time, the wine is stabilized and filtered, followed by bottling and aging for 6 months in the bottle.
  • Serve: Between 10ºC and 12ºC
  • Winemaker: Jorge Alves, Valter Silva and Fábio Pereira
  • Conservation: It is ready to be consumed immediately, but has the potential to age for another 2 to 5 years in the best conditions. Store in a cellar with the bottle lying down.
  • Food Pairing: Seafood rice, grilled fish from our coast or soft cheese.
