Somnium White is a fresh and vibrant wine, with a golden straw colour and a fantastic concentration of fruit aromas. The fermentation and ageing in barrels give it a very elegant touch on the palate, with great balance and subtlety and a very long finish, balanced with an impressive touch of acidity.

  • Soil: The grapes come from old vines with a mixture of traditional Douro varieties, and they come from two plots of vineyards in the parishes of Porrais, in the municipality of Murça.
  • Winemaking: Unstemmed grapes, lightly crushed in a vertical press, the resulting must is decanted into stainless steel vats for 24 hours at 10°C, and then transferred to used 225-litre French oak barrels, where it ferments for 25 days at controlled temperatures between 10°C and 14°C.
  • Tasting Notes: This is a fresh and vibrant wine, with a golden straw colour and a fantastic concentration of fruit aromas. The fermentation and ageing in barrels give it a very elegant touch on the palate, with great balance and subtlety, and a very long finish, balanced with an impressive touch of acidity.
  • Maturation: Aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels without battonage.
  • Serve: Between 10ºC and 12ºC
