Fita Preta Tinta Grossa 2024
Tinta Grossa, a grape variety from the old vineyards of Alentejo, likely fell out of fashion due to its light colour and low alcohol content. A descendant of a cross between Mourisco-Branco and Alfrocheiro-Preto, and a sister of Trincadeira-das-Pratas, it was planted at Morgado de Oliveira, in granite soil, under dryland conditions. In this first production, it reveals all its freshness, elegance, and Alentejan identity. It has an open ruby-garnet colour. The nose offers notes of red forest fruit, scrubland, and truffle. The palate is medium-bodied and textural, with a repetition of red fruit and truffle aromas. It has a fine and long structure.
