The Inóspito Touriga Nacional results from the blend of two completely distinct plots. One is located in the Cima Corgo sub-region, between Fazenda da Sra. da Ribeira and Quinta dos Canais, at an altitude of 100 to 200 meters, and the other is located in the Douro Superior sub-region, in Escalhão, at an altitude of 500 meters. The blend of the two plots results in a profile reminiscent of the old days: floral, fresh, complex, and structured, without any tartaric correction.

Technical Sheet
  • Soil: Clay-Schistose and Granite.
  • Winemaking: The grapes arrive at the winery in 20 kg boxes and are sent directly to the wine press. Fermentation begins just 3 days after the grapes arrive, during which time much of their essence is extracted.
  • Tasting Notes: Violet red color and floral notes with accentuated expression. Firm in the mouth, voluminous and intense.
  • Maturation: Aged in new and used 500 and 600 liter French oak barrels for 18 months.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC
