  • Soil: Although wines have been produced here for over 100 years, the region was only granted DOC status in 1989. The vineyard is planted on the southern side of the foothills of the Serra de Montejunto and is protected from the Atlantic influence by the mountains of the Vale de Alenquer. The soils are clay-limestone with low fertility and a slight slope, which gives them a northern exposure. The vineyard consists of two historical grape varieties from the region: Vital and Jampal, but these currently have little significance in the vines.
  • Winemaking: Using classic oenology, without excessive use of antioxidants. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and 30% of the batch passes through old 228L barrels, where it ages for 6 months. It is then transferred to stainless steel tanks where it remains for another 6 months on total lees.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromatic, harmonious, with a deep color and balanced acidity.
