Maçanita Malvasia Fina by António is a straw-yellow wine with aromas of tea leaves, white plum and hints of sherry. The mouthfeel is dense and creamy, ending with a deep minerality. Maçanita Vinhos is a project by two brothers and two winemakers. Wines from two hands. Some wines, despite being produced together, are the preferences, quirks or visions of each of the brothers. Malvasia Fina is a grape variety that oxidizes easily, which has led to its disappearance in several regions. In this Malvasia Fina, we embraced this characteristic, in a wine that, instead of protecting it from oxidation, we oxygenated the must, fermented it in horizontal tanks and barrels and kept it in aging, without protection from sulphur dioxide until bottling, entrusting this function to the bâtonnage of lees.
