The partnership between Raul Riba d'Ave and Rui Roboredo Madeira, someone who deeply knows the vineyards of this region, makes it possible to create wines that will provide "ALMOST" as incredible emotions as those we experience when drinking great world-class wines. With this Quasi Grande Reserva Tinto, they aim to showcase the complexity of a spectacular centenary vineyard with mixed grape varieties, entirely dry-farmed, located above 700m altitude. It has a deep, brilliant ruby color, with a very short halo. The aroma is pronounced with ripe black fruit combined with dehydrated red fruit, pencil lead, jelly, all intertwined with fine spices and a vanilla toast imparted by the wood. On the palate, it is full-bodied, yet with soft tannins. It is a wine with immense concentration, with many years ahead of it. The finish is flavorful, long, marked especially by the softness of the tannins and the richness of the fruit.

Technical Sheet
  • Soil: A century-old, dry-farmed vineyard, with mixed grape varieties: Borrão (Alicante Bouschet), Marufo (Mourisco), Rufete, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Amarela.
  • Winemaking: Manual harvest. Grapes are selected on a sorting table, then destemmed and vinified in concrete vats (70%) and the remainder in stainless steel tanks, both with controlled temperature. "Delestage" was performed in all vats. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels where it aged until bottling.
  • Tasting Notes: Deep, brilliant ruby colour, with a very short rim. In the mouth it is full-bodied, but with a soft tannin. It is a wine with enormous concentration, with many years ahead of it. The finish is flavourful, long, marked above all by the softness of the tannin and the richness of the fruit.
