  • Soil: The Maria Teresa Vineyard, named after the first granddaughter of Constantino de Almeida (founder of Quinta do Crasto), is a centuries-old vineyard and one of the oldest on the estate. Located on the eastern slope of Quinta do Crasto, with excellent sun exposure and planted on terraces next to the Douro River, at extremely low altitudes, the Maria Teresa Vineyard occupies an area of ​​4.7 hectares, impressing with its beauty and, above all, its unique characteristics of an old vine.
  • Winemaking: The grapes from the Maria Teresa vineyard were transported in 22 kg boxes and subjected to rigorous sorting on a sorting table at the entrance to the winery. After complete destemming and treading in a traditional wine press, the must was transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation tanks. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, a gentle pressing was carried out.

  • Maturation: Aged for 20 months in 100% new oak barrels, 90% French oak and 10% American oak.
