Quinta Vale d'Aldeia Grande Reserva Red is a wine with a deep purple-red colour. It is very concentrated on the nose with aromas of ripe red fruits, cocoa and spices integrated with notes of wood.   • Soil: The grapes come from different plots of vineyards at Quinta Vale d Aldeia, located in the Meda region of the Douro Superior, at an altitude of around 450m. East-facing and with very schist soil.
  • Winemaking: The grapes used to produce Quinta Vale d'Aldeia Grande Reserva Red are hand-harvested into 20 kg boxes at their ideal ripeness, resulting in greater aromatic and polyphenolic concentrations. After gentle crushing and complete destemming, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel vats equipped with a temperature control system.
  • Tasting Notes: Deep purple-red in colour. It is very concentrated on the nose with aromas of ripe red fruits, cocoa and spices integrated with hints of wood. The palate is elegant with good acidity and velvety tannins, resulting in a very structured and harmonious wine.
  • Maturation: Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels and 6 months in bottle.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC. Must be decanted.
