  • Soil: Schist/granitic soil. Directly influenced by the Serra do Marão, it is the Douro sub-region with the mildest and rainiest climate.
  • Winemaking: Grapes exclusively from old vines, foot-trodden in traditional granite presses. Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, 50% new barrels and 50% used barrels. Produced in years of exceptional quality and in limited quantities.
  • Tasting Notes: Deep colour, with a well-integrated, high-quality wood and red fruits on the nose. The palate is voluminous with elegant, smooth tannins.
  • Maturation: Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, 50% in new barrels and 50% in used barrels.
