Monte Bluna Tinta Miúda is a wine with a vibrant purple colour, standing out for its elegance and character from start to finish. Disruptive due to its unusual precision and freshness, yet complex and distinctive. The aroma is captivating and charming with its wild berries, violets, nuances of vine shoots, hints of cocoa and earthiness. It evolves into pleasant balsamic notes, on a background of limestone minerality. On the palate, it is ample, with energetic and vibrant fruit, greedy, somewhat irreverent, with captivating freshness and structure, fine-grained, intense and firm tannins. The finish is long, persistent and even disconcerting.

  • Soil: Located on the Moinho do Céu site, a pristine hill in the Rio Grande da Pipa Basin, part of the Tejo River Basin. The vineyards are located at altitude, on slopes of varying steepness, flanked by the Tejo to the east, the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Serra de Montejunto to the north, on clay-limestone and limestone soils.
  • Winemaking: The grapes were hand-picked and sorted into small 20 kg boxes. In the winery, after a new manual qualitative sorting, the grapes were completely destemmed and gently crushed. A short pre-fermentation maceration was carried out, with fermentation taking place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 20ºC. During this period, pumping over was carried out at varying lengths and intervals. The malolactic transformation, for finishing, was carried out in used French oak casks. It matured in these same casks from November 2019 to June 2020.
  • Tasting Notes: It has a vibrant purple colour and stands out for its elegance and character from start to finish. Disruptive due to its unusual precision and freshness, yet complex and distinctive. The aroma is captivating and charming with its wild berries, violets, nuances of vine shoots, hints of cocoa and earthiness. It evolves into pleasant balsamic notes, on a background of limestone minerality. In the mouth, it is broad, with energetic and vibrant fruit, greedy, somewhat irreverent, with captivating freshness and structure, fine-grained, intense and firm tannins. The finish is long, persistent and even disconcerting!
  • Maturation: It matured for almost 6 months in stainless steel containers, to enhance its sensory quality and increase its complexity. To preserve its quality, it was bottled without treatment, which could have led to the formation of a natural deposit.
  • Serve: Between 14ºC and 16ºC. It should be decanted 1 hour before serving.
  • Winemaker: Nuno Martins da Silva
  • Conservation: Although it can be consumed immediately, it has the potential to evolve positively in the bottle for several years, as long as it is stored properly.
  • Food Pairing: Grilled or stewed red meats, game with fur or feathers and cured cheeses.
