Cistus Red is a clear and bright wine. Ruby in colour with violet hues. On the nose it is intense, full of red fruits and berries, with slight mineral notes and a base of very fine woods. On the palate it is round, with notes of spices, fruit and good acidity that gives it a lot of freshness. Very balanced.

  • Soil: The grapes come from vineyards located in the Douro Superior.
  • Winemaking: Winemaking ended in the last fortnight of October and, thanks to the good weather conditions, the grapes reached good maturity, were healthy, with an average alcohol content of 14.5°.
  • Tasting Notes: Clear and bright. Ruby colour with violet hues. The nose is intense, full of red fruits and berries, with slight mineral notes and a base of very fine woods. The palate is round, with notes of spices, fruit and good acidity that gives it a lot of freshness. Very balanced.
  • Maturation: Part of the batch (approx. 50%) was aged in second and third year French and American oak barrels.
  • Serve: Between 16ºC and 18ºC
  • Winemaker: Manuel Angel Areal Freitas

  • Food Pairing: Grilled meats, white meats and pasta. Should be served at a temperature of 18ºC to reveal all its qualities.
