The places [LOCI] of Ventozelo are a sight to behold. To get to know them, you need to know what stories they tell. This wine expresses all the complexity of the Genius LOCI of Ventozelo. With five varieties from eight different vineyards, the result is a wine full of personality. Intense ruby ​​colour. It has an aroma marked by ripe fruit, especially plum and raspberry, with a slight vegetal touch that gives it freshness and intensity. The fine and smooth aromas of Tinta Amarela stand out. When tasting, it appears broad and velvety, with the fruit reappearing, combined with the round and enveloping tannins. Harmonious and elegant finish, with admirable acidity.

  • Soil: Extreme vines, aged between 20 and 30 years.
  • Winemaking: Manual harvest, in the first week of September. The grapes were received at the winery, on the special line, with total destemming and manual selection of bunches and then “berry by berry” by an optical selection machine. The vinification was carried out in a wine press, with pre-fermentation maceration and temperature control. The batch is the result of the first fermentations in September.
  • Tasting Notes: Intense ruby colour. Its aroma is marked by ripe fruit, especially plum and raspberry, with a slight vegetal touch that gives it freshness and intensity.   • Maturation: In February 2021, the wine began aging in 300 and 500-liter barrels of second and third-year French oak from the Baron, Radoux and Seguin Moreau cooperages. After a 12-month aging in wood and bottling in February 2022, Loci aged for a period of 8 months in the bottle, until its release onto the market.
